NBR
Nitrile rubberMineral oils, many fuels, good wear and broad industrial availability.
Usually not the first choice for ozone, weathering, ketones or strong oxidising media.
FKM / FPM
Fluorocarbon rubberHeat, oils, fuels and many chemical environments.
Hot water, steam, ketones and low-temperature duty require grade-specific review.
VMQ / PVMQ
Silicone rubberWide temperature flexibility, ozone and weather resistance; colour options.
Abrasion, tear strength and gas permeability can limit dynamic or high-pressure use.
EPDM
Ethylene propylene rubberWater, steam, ozone, weathering and many polar fluids.
Generally unsuitable for petroleum oils, hydrocarbon fuels and many non-polar solvents.
