MAIBOS / Applications

Start with the operating conditions.

A product shape alone does not define a suitable seal. Use these application checklists to describe your equipment, then compare materials and send a drawing for project-specific review.

01

Hydraulic equipment

O-rings and gaskets may seal static joints; moving interfaces need a separate review. Hydraulic-tool oil bladders also need their reservoir shape and attachment interfaces checked; they are not automatically interchangeable with gas-charged accumulator bladders.

Include in your enquiry

Fluid specification · continuous and peak temperature · working and peak pressure · groove drawing · movement · tool model

02

Pneumatic equipment

Describe whether a seal is stationary or reciprocating and whether the air is lubricated. A part that fits dimensionally still needs a check against the operating cycle and the required leakage behaviour.

Include in your enquiry

Air quality and lubricant · pressure · stroke and frequency · installation dimensions · leakage acceptance

O-Rings
03

Pumps and valves

Separate the wetted static joints from rotating shaft positions. For an oil seal, supply shaft and housing dimensions as well as the fluid; for a gasket, include the sealing-face drawing and assembly conditions.

Include in your enquiry

Fluid and concentration · temperature · shaft speed where applicable · housing drawing · flange or groove geometry

Oil Seals
04

Industrial machinery

Replacement seals should be specified from the assembly, not only from a worn part. Include the installation environment and maintenance history so that material and dimensional questions can be reviewed together.

Include in your enquiry

Drawing revision · new-part dimensions · dust or outdoor exposure · movement · previous failure description

Rubber Gaskets
05

Automotive-related enquiries

A drawing enquiry does not establish approval for an automotive programme. Identify the component function, safety relevance and customer qualification requirements before discussing samples or production.

Include in your enquiry

Customer specification · fluid · duty cycle · required test reports · traceability and approval process
